Anxiety Counselling
Anxiety can make us feel overwhelmed, scared, stressed and hopeless.
But, anxiety does not need to control your thoughts or your life!

Our Registered Social Workers and Registered Psychotherapists are trained specifically to help you understand anxiety and to develop tools and strategies that allow you to regain control over your life.

We offer in person and virtual anxiety counselling.

Common issues addressed in anxiety therapy include:
-
social anxiety
-
boundaries
-
self esteem
-
school or work related stress
-
family dynamics
-
perfectionism
-
life transition
-
perinatal and postpartum anxiety
Treatment options for anxiety:
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
CBT is an effective approach in challenging anxious thoughts and worries and managing the resulting behaviours and feelings that stem from anxiety.
Mindfulness
Mindfulness practices teach us how to stay in the present and out of the past or future where anxious thoughts try to keep us.
Psychoeducation
Learning about our brain and why anxiety exists and shows up in certain ways is essentially in understanding our thoughts and circumstances and gaining control over our day to day experiences.
Therapy is not a 'one size fits all', so your sessions may include all or some of these treatment approaches, or other strategies depending on your specific experiences and wishes.
