Welcome! And thank you for taking the time to look after yourself by being here. I am the founder of Healing at Home Counselling and Wellness Services. My passion for being a mental health therapist comes from a personal calling to support and hold space for those struggling with or navigating through the difficulties of life, whether they be day-to-day challenges or larger life events that feel like too much to process on your own.
During our time together, I will strive to provide a warm, safe and accepting space to share, heal and work towards your individual goals. I believe in a person-centred, holistic approach which allows for an individually tailored intervention plan to achieve the best outcome for you.
This may include Mindfulness strategies, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Somatic Experiencing, which connects the mind to body, and attachment theory approaches. I also have specialized experiences in working in the area of grief and loss and perinatal and postpartum mental health. I strive to form a positive therapeutic relationship with you in which you can explore and experience all the emotions which may come with grief of any nature, but also believe strongly in the concept of making meaning out of our experiences to be able to move through them in a positive way when it makes sense for you.
Even though it can feel scary to reach out for support, I truly believe we should not have to face any of life’s challenges on our own. Accessing counselling and mental health support is an important part of personal self-care, understanding and growth, no matter your background, or gender identification.
I work with individuals aged 16 +.
About Healing at Home
Our home is often defined as our physical living space, but is it also the body and mind within which we live everyday. When our physical home is calm and safe, and our mental and emotional homes are supported and healthy, so is our mental health. As so when I was creating my practice it felt fitting to name it Healing at Home.
Sometimes it feels safest and easiest to access counselling and support in the comfort of our own homes, and so we can draw on the benefits of virtual and phone counselling. When that is not the case, our counselling space in London, Ontario creates a homey experience to make you feel as comfortable as possible.
